Philip Field, Lead Ombudsman – Banking and Finance
Prior to the establishment of the Financial Ombudsman Service, Philip was General Manager – Corporate and Legal Counsel at the Banking and Financial Services Ombudsman (BFSO), having initially joined the BFSO as Legal Counsel.
Before joining the BFSO, Philip worked in private practice and as an in-house solicitor in the financial services sector.
Philip holds a Master of Laws (Commercial Law), Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) all from Monash University, and was admitted to legal practice in March 1986.
Philip is currently the Secretary/Treasurer of ANZOA, the peak body in Australia and New Zealand for industry-based, parliamentary and statutory ombudsman offices.
